La Petite Pierre Wine Dinner: September 11th and 12th
La Petite Pierre September Wine Dinner
Featuring Donelan Family Wines
What goes with food better than a glass of wine? Nothing! That’s why La Petite Pierre hosts Wine Dinners throughout the year. It’s a chance to gather with friends and family while learning about (and tasting!) different types of wine cultivated throughout the country. From Rose to Beaujolais; Wine Dinners guarantee guests a night of good food, drink, and a whole lot of fun for wine experts and novices alike. September’s Wine Dinner will feature Donelan Wines, a small boutique winery based in Sonoma.
Just like the bistro, Donelan Wines is a family owned winery that began from passion and grew into so much more. It was Joe Donelan’s love of wine that sent him to California and ultimately resulted in the creation of Donelan Family Wines. Each hand crafted wine harnesses the greatest qualities and natural variations in a vineyard and a variety. The Winery produces a variety of wines including Syrah, Grenache, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Roussanne, and Viognier, all of which are crafted with patience and are founded on the principle of quality over quantity. Each of the Donelan wines are products of the land and people that produced it. You’ll be able to taste the roots of the Sonoma Valley all while sitting in the comfort of the restaurant’s dining room.
Each wine tasting is paired with a specially crafted menu prepared for the occasion by Chef Eric. Focusing on the balance of scent and flavor, each five to six course meal is designed to highlight the nuances of each wine while creating a culinary experience with each bite. But, recognizing nuance can be difficult, especially for guests who don’t know much about the complexity of wine. That’s why at each Wine Dinner, the wine producer or representative comes along to guide guests through the experience of each sip, focusing on subtle notes and flavors you might not pick up on yourself. The September dinner will feature new Donelan wines that aren’t available to the public. So, consider yourself lucky! All you have to do is sit back and be wined and dined.
While the Wine Dinner is certainly an experience to be remembered, it doesn’t ever have to go forgotten. Each dinner ends with the opportunity to purchase the featured wines to share with your family and friends at home or during your next party. Some guests leave so inspired that they host their own dinners with the featured wines for their family and friends to enjoy too.
If you’re ready for a unique and delicious experience, don’t wait to reserve your spot for this month’s dinner, they will go fast!
