- Nordstrom Kenwood Grand Opening
September 23, 2009
La Petite Pierre Catering of Madeira has won the contract to cater the much-anticipated Nordstrom Grand Opening Event at Kenwood Towne Center September 23, 2009. Nordstrom announced La Petite Pierre as its choice after months of consideration and tastings with several well-respected catering companies. “We’re excited about catering the event. Nordstrom has gained a reputation for providing a premiere shopping experience. So, we’ve prepared a menu to match the spectacular plans Nordstrom has for its grand opening,” said Suzy DeYoung the executive chef and co-owner of La Petite Pierre.
La Petite Pierre is best known for its simple, yet elegant French cuisine. The company that consists of both an intimate bistro and catering division, has gained a reputation for its emphasis on seasonally fresh and local ingredients, and a passion for creating unique food experiences. The catering division has had the honor of serving celebrities such as Prince Andrew, Bruce Springsteen, and both sides of the political aisle with catered events for George Bush, Sarah Palin and Bill and Hillary Clinton.Owners Michele Vollman and Suzy DeYoung are the daughters of the late Pierre Adrian who served as the head chef at The Maisonette. As children, Michele and Suzy spent time with their father learning about fine food and service excellence. The women developed a passion for simple, natural and healthy cooking. When they completed their training in Alsace, France, they opened La Petite Pierre as a catering business in 1989. As they built the business, they grew it to include a lovely bistro and moved operations of La Petite Pierre Restaurant and Catering to its current location on Camargo Road in Madeira.
