Our Philosophy

La Petite Pierre is the kind of bistro you expect to find in the French countryside, homey and family run. Whether Michele is suggesting the perfect pairing of food and wine or Suzy is leaving the kitchen to personally check your meal, a proprietary ambiance is felt throughout the intimate café. We are known for serving deceptively simple yet hardy meals prepared from seasonally fresh and whenever possible local ingredients. The bistro is an unassuming room, warm and cozy with an interior reminiscent of Alsace, the home of our late father, Pierre Adrian, chef of the Maisonette.

The creativity, presentation, and consistency of each meal we prepare is what has established us as leading caterers in Cincinnati. Although the bistro is small and intimate, any size catered event is executed with the same professionalism and creativity as the bistro. La Petite Pierre has been honored to cook for Julia Child, Bruce Springsteen, Prince Andrew, as well as many of Cincinnati’s premiere events. Our goal is to provide out clientele with a unique dining experience either in their home or ours. George Spaetz, an Alsacian gourmand, wrote in 1913 how we feel our French bistro has evolved. “I, too, will become the apostle and patron of simple, natural, and healthy cooking. I shall not boast of rich sauces, complicated dishes or exciting stews; but the well-kept secrets of our old families handed down with love from mother to daughter. The dishes and desserts on which I feasted sixty years ago when I was a child.”
